In recent years, I've found myself increasingly attracted to scarves. I realise that that was a very strange sentence, but it's true! I'm not talking about the woolly kind your Grandma used to knit either; the ones I'm lusting after are oversized, silk and feature stunningly intricate designs.
I recently had the pleasure of meeting Sara Ebbett (who is very lovely, by the way) and seeing her incredible scarves in the gorgeous fabric flesh - they are beyond stunning! Her AW12/13 collection is beautifully whimsical with subtle dark notes, which obviously appeal to my not-so-secret inner goth. Inspired by nature and Charles Darwin, Sara's hand-drawn designs mix delicate flowers with the harder side of nature - dragonflies, beetles, bees and skulls. Each scarf is huge, which means there are are endless styling opportunities and ways to wear them.
